I have now written quite a bit about our new KS3 Scheme of Work. You can find:
- The general approach and the use of Core Questions here
- How we have gone about actually making it here
- Our entire How Science Works unit here
And now you can also have access to our entire Chemistry Fundamentals unit here, covering nuclear model of the atom right the way through chemical changes, conservation of mass and balancing equations.
As before, you will no doubt have your nitpicks and your own personal pet peeves that you don’t like about our unit. That’s fine, keep it to yourself. You are more than welcome to change or adapt anything I have provided, but I would really rather not get into a protracted conversation over the placement of a comma or whether or not a certain item will set students up for a misconception in year 13 electrochemistry.

Hi Adam, great resources – really helpful to discover and making me think quite deeply about curriculum here. I am trying to access the booklets for this topic on your google drive but I can’t seem to open them – are they password protected?
Thanks
Bobby
